Ayurveda is a Traditional System of Medicine, recognised as such by the World Health Organisation. It originated in India around 5,000 years ago and is often referred to as the “mother of all healing sciences.” Today Ayurveda is widely practised in India and Sri Lanka as a government-recognised and statutorily regulated medical system.
Canadian Ayurvedic Practitioners Association (CAP Association) is a voluntary, not-for-profit, professional organisation. registered with the Canadian Federal Government (Regd. No. 1126494-0), which invites membership to all those who have certified educational qualification in Ayurveda from India or West. CAP Association also invites Ayurvedic Therapists, Ayurvedic Dieticians, Ayurveda Wellness Counsellors, Overseas Ayurvedic Practitioners living and working outside Canada, Students of Ayurveda and Friends from general public having special interest in Ayurveda treatments and education.
An MoU between UHN and the AII was signed on April 20 in the presence of India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of Mauritius Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, and the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
